Rapid Recall™
The Rapid Recall™ Program is a 5 phase system for recall training with quicker responses, an eager attitude, and fewer mistakes!
- In Phase 1, we *Teach Acknowledgement.* Acknowledgement is the first sign of compliance, seen when the dog lifts their head, or turns their head in your direction, acknowledging that you called. This step is often skipped in recall training, but acknowledgement is the first *change in behavior* that must occur before a dog starts moving in your direction!
- In Phase 2, we *Add Clarity* by teaching the dog to travel the FULL and COMPLETE distance toward us, without stopping halfway, or veering off-course.
- In Phase 3, we *Develop Compliance* because a 100% reliable recall cannot be an optional recall.
- In Phase 4, we *Add Distance* to the recall by practicing from greater distances, and outside the house.
- In Phase 5, we *Add Distractions* in a progressive and incremental way so that we train and maintain a 100% reliable recall throughout the days and weeks ahead.
